60 Students are admitted in first year & other batches where 60 students in each class. Students are admitted as per agreement with the Government of Kerala. Out of this 85% of intake under merit and 15% under management NRI quota. Those who have studied and passed plus two levels with requisite mark in science as special subject alone are eligible for admission to the B A M S course. This course is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science, Thrissur. We are following the curriculum B. A. M. S course as per NCISM guidelines as directed by the Kerala University of Health Science.
Strict discipline is maintained in this Institute. Mobile phones are banned in this campus. 80% attendance is essential for appearing the exam.Internal Examinations are conducted as per the rules of K H U S. Examination is conducted strictly as per the guidelines of University. Internet facilities with Closed Circuit Cameras TV (CCTV) are connected for the smooth conduct of the examinations. We have a college council constituted with 16 members. Any disciplinary action is subjected to the detailed discussion in this council and their decision is the final one as far as students are concerned. Absence without leave is not permitted. Any shortage in attendance is immediately intimated to the parent’s b y mail.
PTA is functioning well and interaction with them; class wise and whole body, is conducted at regular intervals. Their suggestions are invited and wherever found necessary those are accepted and implemented in academic matters.
A well equipped Rasasasthra & Bhaishajyakalpana lab is attached with this unit. Cultivating Research mind to our students and faculties are the aim of this department.
Preparing Ayurvedic classical medicines and patent medicine with high care are the major highlights of this unit. This unit is functioning under the control of R & B Department of the College.
Constituted this committee as per the direction of High Court of Kerala and KUHS. Monthly meeting is conducted to review the progress.
